Organic agave inulin is a carbohydrate belonging to a class of compounds known as fructans and is closely related to fructooligosaccharides (FOS). Agave inulin is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and is therefore considered a fibre. It is a soluble fibre that is very low on the glycemic index, making it suitable for diabetics and potentially helpful in managing blood sugar levels.
