Properties: Thyme is known as a expectorant. Echinacea can help shorten cold & flu symptoms. All ingredients in this tea are known to have anti-bacterial properties. The compounds in lemon balm offer profound antibacterial and antiviral properties. Chamomile & lemon balm can assist restful sleep.

Cultural background: Since ancient Greece, lemon balm has long been known to relieve anxiety, promote sleep, and soothe agitation. In the middles ages, lemon balm had a variety of common uses including tension soothing, a cure for toothache, and crooked necks.

Many Native American tribes used echinacea for coughs, sore throats, infections and more. In modern times German scientists have the best documentation of echinacea’s value for human consumption. After hundreds of years of use, no toxicity or side-effects have been reported except rare allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.
