Our raw organic yacon powder is made from the yacon plant deep in the South American Andes at the onset of the rainy season between September and November, yacon is related to the sunflower plant and blooms with small yellow flowers.

High in potassium and antioxidants, the yacon root is considered the world’s richest natural source of fructooligosaccharides (FOS). With our organic yacon powders high FOS content, it is an excellent pre-biotic booster for the digestive system. Yacon feeds your good bacteria :)
Other good gut health products are probiotics, agave inulin, digestive enzymes and fenugreek.
The tubers and roots are hand-selected to ensure the finest quality. The yacon root is washed in citric water, once dried in its raw state the yacon root is ground into a fine powder. Consisting of inulin and polysaccharide, organic yacon powder is primarily used as a sweetener.
This product has been tested for pesticides, artificial fertilisers, heavy metals, e.coli, yeast, mould, salmonella and foreign matter. This product contains no bulking agents, added sugar, palm oil or GMO.
