The New Way with Clay

Our Earth is the source of infinite means for restoring and maintaining good Health. This range of Clays we offer are charged over millennia with the vital energies from Sun, Air and Water. This alchemical process creates the most powerful healing agent for physical regeneration.

Our Clay comes from the unpolluted hills on the Island of Sardinia and from the ancient Volcanic region of the Cote D’Armor in Brittany.

Origin of Clay
Most likely our planet originally was a mass of molten material. When this material cooled, a thin film solidified on the surface just as a film forms on the surface of milk after boiling. As our planet was cooling but still fluid, heavy materials such as metals sank towards the centre of the planet, so that the other materials that were left on the surface were of a fairly uniform composition. They cooled and hardened, forming what is now called igneous rocks and minerals.

Types of Clay

Montmorillonite Clay
Montmorillonite, a phyllosilicate, is a soft type of mineral that exists in small crystals which accumulate to form clay. Phyllosilicates or sheet silicates, are a group of minerals that include the micas, chlorite, serpentine, talc, and the clay minerals. The clay is named after Montmorillon (France) where it was first discovered.

There exist two types of montmorillonite, sodium and calcium.
Sodium montmorillonite is commonly known as sodium bentonite. The presence of sodium as the predominant exchangeable cation can result in the clay swelling to many times its original volume. Almost all natural clays have value in promoting human health. Some may be consumed, others are best used only externally, and some are best reserved for industrial purposes.
Clays in general, provide a wide array of benefits for humanity, whether for the body, in the garden, or for industrial use.

Each of the edible clays will possess different mineral profiles and electromagnetic properties, and will therefore affect the body somewhat differently. NASA discovered that clay countered the loss of calcium in the bones (common during space flight) better than calcium supplements due to the additional minerals and other properties natural to a clay that improved calcium assimilation.

Adsorption and Absorption
The two words are similar but their differences are fundamental to understanding how clay minerals function and how healing clay works.

Adsorption describes the process by which the charged particles of other substances combine with the charged particles on the outer surface of the clay molecule. First imagine the structure of the clay molecule to be similar to a stack of business cards with spaces in between the cards. The clay molecule has unsatisfied ionic bonds around its edges and naturally seeks to satisfy those bonds. For this to happen it must come into contact with a molecule of another substance with unsatisfied bonds that carry an opposite electrical (ionic) charge. When the two molecules meet, the ions held on the outer surface of the clay molecule are exchanged with the ions held on the outside surface of the molecule of the other substance.

Absorption is a slower and more complex process. Acting like a sponge, the clay molecule draws other substances into its internal structure. Absorption can only occur when the foreign substance has undergone a chemical change and is then allowed to enter the clay’s molecular inner structure. Once the foreign substance has undergone the chemical change, it enters into the spaces between the clay’s inner structures. So the toxins that were formerly only sticking to the surface of the clay’s outer structure through ionic bonding, are now pulled inside the clay molecule. This is the primary reason why absorptive clays are labelled as mobile layered or expandable clays. The more substances that are pulled into the clay’s inner structure, the more the clay expands and its layers swell.

Zeolite Detox / Pure Clinoptilolite
A naturally occurring mineral of volcanic origin formed millions of years ago, when lava and ash fell into the sea. Clinoptilolite Zeolite is a mineral with unique properties. Due to their open molecular structure and naturally occurring negative charge Clinoptilolite Zeolite acts a cage, trapping positively charged particles such as heavy metals and pesticides. It is then excreted through the body’s natural elimination channels in a safe and effective manner. Zeolite Detox is suitable for natural detoxification of heavy metals & cleansing of the intestinal tract.

Other benefits includes:
Balancing Ph levels, reduces free radicals, increases assimilation and improves nutrient absorption.
