Lion’s mane mushroom powder FAQs
How is our lion’s mane powder made?
Fresh lion’s mane is a large, shaggy-looking white mushroom that tends to grow on hardwood trees. Each batch of our lion’s mane takes over two months to grow, so it has plenty of time to develop those nutrients.
Once picked, our organic lion’s mane fruiting body is dried at a low temperature and then milled into a fine powder. This natural process preserves key nutrients without altering the mushroom’s beneficial properties.
Our organic lion’s mane mushroom powder is made from the whole, unprocessed fruiting body rather than being an extract. We do, however, also offer Lion’s Mane Extract 20:1 Capsules.
Does lion’s mane powder from Detox Trading contain mycelium?
Our lion’s mane is made from 100% fruiting body, the most bioactive part of the mushroom. Some brands bulk out products with mycelium (fungi’s underground network) grown on grain, which reduces potency.
When is the best time to take lion’s mane supplments?
If you’re wondering when to take lion’s mane, the good news is that it can be taken at any time of day; however, many people prefer taking it in the morning.
How much lion’s mane powder should you take each day?
You can take around 3g of lion’s mane mushroom powder daily. However, you may wish to start with a smaller amount and build up so you can monitor the effects.
