Matcha is naturally a source of caffeine and also contains L-theanine, an amino acid naturally found in tea. L-theanine is associated with a sense of calm focus and, together with caffeine, is one of the characteristics that makes the experience of drinking matcha different from coffee.

Our organic green matcha tea powder is stone ground at the end of the manufacturing process, resulting in an ultra-fine tea powder, a true matcha powder tea , that is typically whisked in hot water until a frothy consistency is reached, as in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony.
The resulting brew has much more body and flavour than tea brewed in a conventional fashion.
Use ¼ teaspoon (1g) per 30ml cup.
Add to hot water in the cup or a bowl, and mix thoroughly.
Use a whisk for best results.
