About our red yeast rice powder

This is an increasingly popular product in relation to circulatory support, however, it comes with a number of contraindications so please consult a professional health practitioner before taking it. We have included more information below.
Red yeast rice powder is created by fermenting a type of yeast – Monascus Purpureus with rice. The resulting combination of these two ingredients creates the deep reddish-purple colour of the product.
Red yeast rice powder has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for many years to aid with digestion and circulation. It is often added into the cooking process as a vital ingredient in Chinese cooking.
We strongly recommend doing your own research on this product, as it has become increasingly popular amongst people needing support for high cholesterol levels. (There is currently a large amount of research being done on how it could positively affect cholesterol levels). Red Yeast Rice contains the active ingredient Monacolin K, which is currently undergoing research for its potential to support the cardiovascular system.
Our RYR powder contains 1.6% monacolin K.
Other products that can benefit the cardiovascular system are moringa powder and beetroot powder.
There are a few contraindications with this product, so we strongly recommend you take this under the supervision of a health professional.
We do not recommend that anyone under the age of 20 should take RYR.
RYR should always be taken with food.
Not to be taken during breastfeeding or pregnancy.
Not recommended for anyone who has kidney disease, thyroid issues, musculoskeletal issues or liver disease.
Avoid if you have any serious infection or physical condition, have had an organ transplant or if you consume more than two alcoholic beverages a day.
For 1.6% red yeast rice, the suggested daily dosage is 650mg (0.65g) and we do not recommend exceeding this amount.
