About our organic bladderwrack seaweed

Our organic bladderwrack seaweed is certified organic and sustainably hand-harvested off the coast of Ireland. It’s rare to find certified organic seaweed so this range is simply some the best we’ve ever tried.

Soil AssociationIngredients: 100% Bladderwrack seaweed
Country of Origin: Ireland

Botanical Name: Fucus Vesiculosis

Organic bladderwrack seaweed is perhaps one of the most popular seaweeds found on the coast of the UK. It is easily recognisable from the small sacks at the end of the branches that are so enjoyable to burst!

Bladderwrack is known to have one of the highest levels of iodine amongst all seaweed varieties. Bladderwrack can provide up to 30 times the standard daily intake of iodine. It is known for its thyroid support. Bladderwrack is also commonly used in skincare products due to its high levels of vitamin A and E. Bladderwrack has properties which can help soothe skin complaints such as eczema and psoriasis.
