What is Shilajit?

Shilajit is a mineral deposit that has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 5,000 years. It is made up of ancient humus and decomposed plant remains that seep from cracks in mountains due mostly to the warmth of the sun. It is found predominately in the Himalayan and Tibetan mountains, Caucasus mountains, Altas Mountains, and the Gilgit Baltistan mountains in Pakistan.

In Ayurveda, it is regarded as the strongest age fighting and rejuvenating component on found earth. In English, it is better known as ‘mineral pitch’, but the name shilajit itself is a Sanskrit term that means ‘invincible rock’, this is because it is believed that it has the ability to heal any problem or ailment.

Research and analysis shows that shilajit contains triterpenes, fulvic acid and humic acids. As well as that it contains 85 different minerals & vitamins that are preserved in their ionic form, meaning when consumed it becomes readily active and available for use in the body.
