About our organic maitake mushroom powder
Maitake has been prized in Asia for thousands of years for its health benefits. The Japanese word “maitake” means “dancing mushroom,” a name derived from the reaction of people having found these mushrooms, which are very valuable.
Also in Japan, maitake can grow to more than 50 pounds (20 kg), earning this giant mushroom the title ‘King of Mushrooms’.
The usual daily dose is between 3g-7g per day.
Maitake’s effects are cumulative. You probably won’t notice anything after using it just once or sporadically. Take it every day and be patient. It can take a few weeks to 2 months to notice an effect.
Unlike other medicinal mushrooms, maitake doesn’t seem to have anti-inflammatory effects, thus those with autoimmune diseases and women who are pregnant should not take it.
Take with vitamin C, research has shown vitamin C increases the absorption of polysaccharides in the body. Add an orange, some camu camu or a multivitamin to your maitake routine!
