Quinoa has become such a fantastic alternative to things like rice, couscous and pasta. Unlike these bulky, ‘filler’ ingredients its naturally gluten free and is packed full of protein, fibre and vitamins. Wheat based staples such as couscous and pasta tend to be nutritionally ’empty’ and can cause inflammation in the body (and the gut in particular). In fact wheat can actually ferment as it passes through the gut, quinoa is from the amaranth plant family (a relative of spinach and beetroot) so it makes an incredible substitute. The best thing about our quinoa is that it’s UK grown and certified organic, a fairly rare thing!

Quinoa is protein rich, it’s considered a complete protein meaning it contains all of the nine essential amino acids. It also contains B vitamins so is nutritious and delicious!
